In 2005, the largest Holocaust memorial opened in memory of the murdered Jews in Europe during the horrible Nazi regime. Over an area of 19,000 square metres, 2,711 concrete steles are arranged in accessible rows. The steles are of different heights and form a wave across the entire area. This unique structure is intended to touch the visitor through this enormous cold mass and to remind him of the incomprehensible suffering of the victims.
